How to Read Your Mailed Statement

top of the statement
  • The statement date is in the upper right. Remember that Internet Montana bills for the previous month, so while the statement date is the date your bill was calculated, the month you are actually being billed for is last month.
  • Your customer ID is your username.
  • Payments are due by the 15th of the month. Further details on this matter may be reviewed on our Overdue Accounts page.
  • "Balance Due" is the amount owing. A number in parenthesis indicates a credit balance. i.e. ($5.00) means you have a credit of five dollars in your favor.
  • When submitting your payment, please remove the upper portion of the statement where indicated, and write the amount paid on the "Payment Enclosed" line. Also, include your CustomerID on your check payment so the correct account is credited.
body of the statement
  • Previous balance indicates any credit or amount owing as of the statement date.
  • Payments and credits are amounts paid by you, or credits made by us.
  • Charges and debits are the current month's charges.
  • Balance due is, of course, the grand total. A number in parenthesis indicates a credit balance. i.e. ($5.00) means you have a credit of five dollars in your favor.
  • The Statement Detail gives the specifics on payments and charges to your account. i.e. Check numbers, usage for each username, etc.

You can view your current and past usage and your billing history on our Usage and Billing page.
