How it works:
DSL, or Digital Subscriber Line, is known as a "broadband" connection, which means you are connected all of the time, at ultra fast speeds.
DSL uses a different frequency than voice transmission on your regular phone line, so you can be on the Internet and talk on the phone at the same time.
The details:
Internet Montana places the order for you
with Qwest. The line will take about 5 business days to activate (meaning, your
DSL will become available about a week after you request DSL with us)
You will need a DSL modem, which you can
either rent for $5 a month, or purchase for $59.95. Though Internet Montana
places the order for you, the modem is shipped from Qwest via UPS. Qwest will
add the modem fee plus a $9.95 shipping fee to your next phone bill.
Qwest bills you for the line, which will be added to your regular phone bill, plus any taxes that may apply.
Internet Montana bills for the Internet access, only.
Internet Montana arranges the complete order for you with Qwest.
