Internet Montana supports the FTP programs: WS-FTP for Windows95 and 3.X and Fetch for Macintosh.
How to Use Fetch
- To create a connection, type imt.net in the box labeled:
Host.
- Enter your username in the box labeled: User ID.Your
username must be entered in lowercase; do not add @imt.net
- Enter your Password in the box labeled password.
- Enter public_html in the box labeled Directory.
- Click OK to connect.
Select Automatic You are now ready to transfer files!

The window will display your home directory,(public_html). Make sure
that Automatic is checked. Select the directory where the
file you want to transfer is located, then click on the file to
highlight it in the window. Click the Open button.
In the Put File window, type the name you would like the file to have on our
server. The Format should be set to Raw Data. Click
OK to transfer the file to your directory on our server.
To close your connection, click the File option on the toolbar, and
select Close from the pull-down menu.
To delete or rename a file on the remote computer,(our server), locate
the file in your directory(s), and highlight the file by
clicking on it. Click Remote on the toolbar located at the top of
the Fetch window and choose Delete Directory or File.
To create a new directory, click on Directories on the toolbar and
select Create a New Directory from the pull down menu. You will be
prompted for a name for the new directory. Type the name for the new
directory and click the OK button. The new directory will appear in
the window.
Refer to the Help option on the main toolbar for more information.
TIPS: Name your web page file index.html if you would
like it to load automatically when someone accesses your web page.
Remember to close your FTP session or it will "hang" and prevent you from
re-connecting.
UNIX IS case sensitive. Remember this when transfering files and
refering to files in your HTML code.
