Outlook Express Email Filter Set-up

(You do not need to be connected to the Internet to set up your filters. Simply open your Outlook Express program. If your computer attempts to dial, click the "Cancel" or "Work Offline" button.)

Go to "Tools", then "Message Rules", then "Mail". 
If you do not have "Message Rules", but rather "Inbox Assistant", you may want to consider upgrading your Internet Explorer to a more recent version.

In "Part 1", check the option that says "Where the To or CC line contains people"

In Part 2, check the option that says "Delete it"

In Part 3, Click on “contains people” (highlighted blue)

Type in the user’s email address, Click the “Add” button,

Click the “Options” button,

Change the option to “does not contain”, Click the “OK” button

Click the next “OK” button again

This section should read: “Apply this rule after the message arrives Where the To or CC line does not contain (username) Delete it.”

In Part 4, name the rule after the user’s username, then click the "OK" button

Your message rules window will look like this. 
Click "OK", and your filtering will begin with the next time you check your email.
