Microsoft Outlook Email Filter Set-up

(You do not need to be connected to the Internet to set up your filters. Simply open your Microsoft Outlook program. If your computer attempts to dial, click the "Cancel" or "Work Offline" button.)

Go to Tools, then click on Rules Wizard

Click the "New" button to write a new filter rule

Choose "Check message when they arrive" and click "Next"

Choose nothing and click "Next"

A window will pop up asking if this is correct, click "Yes"

Choose "delete it" and then click the "Next" button

Choose "except with specific words in the recipient's address", then click on the link for "specific words" in the second half of the window

Enter your email address, then click the "OK" button. Click the "Next" button on the rule window

Name the filter rule whatever you wish. Check "Run this rule now on message already in "Inbox", if you currently have junk email you want to filter and delete. "Turn on this rule" should be checked so that the next time you check your email, the filter will run automatically.
